Anyone with experience in the coatings and finishing industry knows that one of the most important processes in obtaining a perfect finish, is the pre-treatment of the subject parts. Performance of the coating, whether it be for reducing friction or corrosion etc., is compromised without treating the parts correctly before application of the coating. Whether it be degreasing, blasting or priming in some way, East Midland Coatings aim to have the most modern and effective equipment available to help us achieve that perfect coating performance.
We are excited to announce we have just received our new, state of the art grit-blasting units supplied by Hodge Clemco Ltd. We have purchased 2 units. Firstly, we have replaced our existing unit with a brand spanking new pressure fed hand blast cabinet. With some parts being cleaned 5 times as quick as previously, the efficiency improvement to EMC has already been enormous.
Not only that, but we have also purchased a new type of blasting equipment to EMC a Tumble Grit Blaster. This automated machine is designed to blast a large number of parts in one go without the need of human assistance. Ideal for the many small parts that East Midland Coatings currently coat.
Both units have been custom designed and built for EMC to suit our requirements and, as you can see from the photos, are finished to the highest standard. However, of course, the main benefits of these units are the improvement in efficiencies and blasting quality that will in turn lead to an improved service for our valued customers.
